More options for contacting donors
I noticed there are two options in the account for email preferences:
1. Yes, but only about items I donated to or sponsored
2. No thanks
What about all the other things we email them about as soon as we get their email address? Can a third option be added? Something like, "Yes! I would like to receive e-mails"

I agree with this. The current options are "yes, but only about items I donated" or "no". This leaves too much for interpretation and it does not specify whether this is email or mail. There should be more levels and separate categories for each.
Ex:
US Mail - no thanks, only important mailers, yes please.
Email - no thanks, yes but don't load up my inbox, yes I'd love to hear all I can about "x" -

It would be great to have the option to opt in or out for both email and snail mail communications. We should also be able to pull this information into reports, but it's not an available column.

I agree that it would be beneficial to be able to run a report of those who need to be contacted by mail and not email.

Agree, we are in the process of implementing, but I've turned it off. Once I'm brave enough, I might turn it back on.

It would be great to run a report to find out which supporters have opted out of email communication. I've been sending out messages, however our supporters haven't been getting them as they hadn't ticked the right box. If I'd know I could have contacted them via alternative means or ask them if they wanted to adjust their settings.
